Char Yong Gardens

Phang & Co acted for the landowner and the developer

A clan association bought the site, just off Orchard Road, after the War. It used the site as a school and association premises until 1988.

In 1988, the school closed down. The association then entered into a collaborative arrangement with a property developer to develop a condominium project on it.

The award of the project to the developer was after a fiercely competitive tender process handled by Phang & Co.

The landowner exchanged the land for 36 of the new flats on the same site. The developer sold the rest of the units.
